Welcome to LAAS. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website and webstore (the "Store"), powered by Shopify, and the LAAS app and LAAS products (together, the "Services"). By visiting, interacting with, or using any of the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you should not use or access the Services.
Part 1 — Shopping With Us
Access and Account
By agreeing to these Terms, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence. To use the Services, you may be asked to provide information such as your email address, billing, payment, and shipping information — you represent that this information is correct, current, and complete. You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all account activity. You may not transfer, sell, assign, or license your account to any other person.
Our Products
We make every effort to accurately represent our products, but colors or appearance may differ depending on your device and settings. Product descriptions are subject to change at any time without notice, and we reserve the right to discontinue any product or limit quantities offered to any person, region, or jurisdiction.
Orders
Placing an order is an offer to purchase; it is not accepted until we confirm it and process payment. We may be unable to accommodate cancellation requests after an order is accepted. If we cancel or change an order, we'll attempt to notify you using the contact details you provided. You represent that your purchases are for personal or household use, not for resale or export.
Prices and Billing
Prices, discounts, and promotions are subject to change without notice; the price charged is the price in effect when the order is placed. Posted prices exclude taxes, shipping, and import charges unless stated otherwise. You agree to provide accurate payment and account information and to keep it up to date.
Shipping and Delivery
Delivery times are estimates only. We are not liable for delays caused by carriers, customs, or events outside our control. Title and risk of loss pass to you once we transfer products to the carrier.
Intellectual Property
Our Services — including trademarks, brands, text, images, product reviews, video, audio, and the LAAS app and software — are owned by LAAS, its affiliates, or licensors, and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms permit personal, non-commercial use only. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of any intellectual property to you, and unauthorized use may violate applicable law.
Optional Tools & Third-Party Links
The Services may provide access to third-party tools or hyperlinks to third-party websites, provided "as is" without warranty. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third parties, and any use of third-party tools or sites is at your own risk. Complaints about third-party products should be directed to the third party.
Relationship with Shopify
LAAS's Store is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide part of the Services. Any sales you make are made directly with LAAS — Shopify is not responsible for any aspect of those sales, and you release Shopify and its affiliates from related claims.
Privacy
All personal information we collect is subject to our Privacy Policy, and certain information may also be subject to Shopify's Privacy Policy. By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read these policies.
Feedback
If you submit ideas, suggestions, or other feedback, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use it for any purpose, including commercial use. We have no obligation to keep feedback confidential, compensate you for it, or respond to it.
Errors, Inaccuracies, and Omissions
Information on the Services may occasionally contain errors relating to pricing, descriptions, or availability. We reserve the right to correct these and to cancel orders affected by inaccurate information, without prior notice.
Prohibited Uses
You agree to use the Services lawfully only, and not to: violate any law; infringe intellectual property; harass or harm others; transmit false information, spam, or malware; impersonate any person; scrape or use automated tools (including AI agents) to access the Services without disclosure; or bypass any security measures. We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms.
AI Agents
If you use or enable an AI agent to access the Services, the agent must clearly identify itself as such in all requests (e.g. via the user agent string), must not conceal that it is automated, must respond truthfully about its automated nature, and must not bypass any measures we use to control agent access.
Part 2 — Using Our App & Products
Accounts
You may use the LAAS app without signing in. If you choose to sign in with Apple or Google, your use of those services is also governed by Apple's or Google's respective terms and privacy policies.
Access to Your Locks
You are responsible for managing access to your LAAS products, including any access you choose to share with family members, friends, or other users.
Software Updates
We may release updates to improve the security, reliability, compatibility, and functionality of the LAAS app and supported products. We recommend keeping the app and product firmware up to date.
Warranty
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LAAS ApS shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the LAAS app or LAAS products. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where such exclusion is prohibited by law.
App Intellectual Property
The LAAS app, software, trademarks, logos, website, and related intellectual property belong to LAAS ApS or its licensors and are protected by applicable laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of any intellectual property to you.
Part 3 — Legal Terms (applies to Store and App)
Termination
We may terminate your access to the Services at any time, in our sole discretion, without notice, and you remain liable for amounts due up to the date of termination. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including Intellectual Property, Feedback, Disclaimer of Warranties, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law — continue to apply.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Services and all products are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee the Services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LAAS, its partners, officers, employees, affiliates, and Shopify shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services. Nothing here excludes liability where prohibited by law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LAAS, Shopify, and our respective affiliates from claims arising out of your breach of these Terms, violation of law or third-party rights, or use of the Services.
Severability, Waiver & Entire Agreement
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any right doesn't waive it. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services.
Assignment
You may not transfer or assign your rights under these Terms without our written consent. We may transfer or assign these Terms without notice to you.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Denmark. You and LAAS consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Danish courts.
Headings
Headings in these Terms are for convenience only and do not affect their interpretation.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. The latest version is always available at https://www.laas.me/policies/terms-of-service
